How to have a smooth karaoke night!

As the night goes on and more people sign up for karaoke, I do my best to manage the rotation so that everyone gets a fair chance to sing and enjoy themselves.

To keep things running smoothly:

  1. First-Come, First-Served: I start by calling up singers in the order they sign up, so if you sign up early, you’ll get to sing sooner.
  2. Everyone Gets a Turn: Once everyone on the list has had a turn, I’ll go back to the beginning of the list. I always make sure that new singers get a chance before anyone sings a second time so the order of lineup will sometimes change.
  3. Keeping You Informed: I’ll try to give you an idea of when your turn is coming up. This helps everyone know what to expect and stay engaged.

To give you an idea of how many times you might get to sing in a 4-hour show (on a perfect night):

– With 15 singers, everyone should be able to sing three times, and a few might even get a fourth song.

– If we have 30 singers in the room, each person will likely get to sing once, and some might get a second turn.

I always strive to make sure the night runs smoothly so that everyone has a great time, but I also understand that things don’t always go as planned. Whether it’s technical issues, unexpected delays, or just a busy night with lots of singers, there can be hiccups along the way. I appreciate your understanding and patience when these things happen. My goal is to keep the energy high and ensure everyone has a chance to enjoy themselves, even if I have to adjust on the fly. I know that some of you request hearing your favorite songs played so I’m happy to mix in some of those requests to keep the vibe fun for everyone. Plus, I’ll be playing some line dances too, so be ready to hit the dance floor! This way, there’s a little something for everyone, whether you’re here to sing, dance, or just enjoy the music.

Here are some friendly rules for singers to follow to keep the event fun and enjoyable for everyone:
